The directions below are easy to follow...everything is in a valley..so it's difficult to get lost !

Every full day you may choose one activity centre from the following:

Sportaction Lake Activity Centre (free use of all equipment)

Windsurf We have a fully equipped windsurf facility (Boards: STARBOARD 2006, Sails: SIMMER 2005 - 2006), and we are an authorised WDVS centre. If you have not surfed before, you can book lessons for a small local supplement (Best to book through us before arrival)

Mountain Bike The base has 30 front suspended aluminium bikes and come supplied with safety helmets and lights. Suggested Itineraries will be given to you. Heading south down along the lake is the most popular.

Canoe The best time to Canoe is the morning before the wind strengthens. Our RAINBOW canoes are very safe and we will provide life Jackets. You can choose between single or double person canoes.

Trekking The lake and mountains make a tempting combination and provide some spectacular views

The base has an olive garden, sun terrace, Deli bar. Everything happens around the central building. Light lunches, drinks and sun chairs available

• Our instructor, FABIO can offer windsurf courses and International certification.
• You may hire one of the motor boats to tour the lake (half or full day)
• You may hire our 30ft sailing yacht with Captain (to be booked one day before)

Directions from accomodation to Sportaction base (20 mins).
Follow one way for 50mts then turn left and follow road around to T-Junction and turn right. Take first right and follow directions Bergamo. You are back on the road you came from Orio airport. On the main road go through long tunnel (half way through there is a road that joins from the right). After end of long tunnel turn right towards Lovere. Follow road around and descend hill. At bottom of hill turn right (sharp turn) along edge of lake. Keep on through Castro and then the narrow road under the cliff face. You will enter tiny village of Gre. After old Hotel on left you will find base on left with lots of flags (called Baso nautica Barro). Park 50mts beyond entrance just after curve on right. Enter base and go to stone cafè building and present yourself WITH ACTIVITY VOUCHER to the staff.

We recommend you arrive at the activity centre in the morning around 9.30

- Public transport Boario Station to Lovere Porto every half hour, last bus back 19.30. NOTE SUNDAY buses every two hours...Check timetable in Tourist Information office Boario beside station. Buy return ticket in bar at station and punch ticket on bus. Tell driver Lovere Centro (beside lack in piazza with statue in middle.) Walk down to the port (where the boats are !) 

It would be best to call the Hostel (0039 035 983529) beforehand or you can just turn up (peach coloured building on main road directly overlooking the harbour). Please tel Hostel ("ostello" in Italian) that you need mountain bikes to get to Sportaction. They will arrange for the bikes to be made available.

Aqua Planet…multi pool complex

The complex Aqua planet consists of, 11 swimming pools (2 indoor and 6 suitable for children), Many large and small slides, 2 snack bars, Pizzeria, restaurant with terrace, roller Skating ring, 2 Beach volley courts, 1 mini volley court, Football field, Jet Spray field, Games room, Shop, Large grassed picnic and sun area

Directions Accomodation to Water Park (5 mins).
Exit accomodation left..follow one way…go over train tracks.
Go straight on over old bridge and follow the road around curves.
There is a right hand curve after 150mt from bridge. Follow road (direction Darfo) and soon after take next right turn into Via Rigamonti
Descend road and follow curve around and take right turn (marked “Piscina”)…you enter the road to water Park. Park car anywhere around here and walk down to bottom of road entrance (marked “ingresso”) and present yourself WITH ACTIVITY VOUCHER to the reception.

Without Car ? It is possible to walk this distance (20 mins...follow road above). Alternatively ask reception if they can transfer you.

Ferry boat day pass

This is a great trip. Your voucher gives you free use of the boats for all the day on the majestic Lake Iseo. Over 20 km’s long with pretty port towns and the largest inland island in Europe.

SUGGESTED EXCURSIONS

Until June 22 and after 07 September: Saturday and Sundays only *….
After June 22 ..excursion is every day to 09 September
• DAY Excursion: Take boat from Lovere at 9.15 or 12.25. You will arrive on the island (village of Peschiere) at 10.30 or 13.40 where you can hire a bicycle, take a walk (few cars are aloud), relax by the lake and have a leisurely lunch at one of the many restaurants/pizzerias or walk up to the old monastery ontop of the island ! Return boat leaves at 12.25 or at 16.00 arriving Lovere at 13.35 or 17.20
* NOTE Boat Saturday departure 9.30 and return at 15.38
* NOTE Boat Sunday departures as DAY excursion above.

Available every Saturday 2nd June to 8 September:
• Alternatively you can book a night excursion with music - Take boat from Lovere 18.30 and return at 22.00. Dinner is served onboard (not included in voucher…supplement of 20 Euro per person including drinks). MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE

Directions Accomodation to Lovere Ferry Port (15 mins).
Follow one way for 50mts then turn left and follow road around to T-Junction and turn right. Take first right and follow directions Bergamo. You are back on the road you came from Orio airport.
Take exit before tunnel “ Costa Volpino” at roundabout go left..straight on. Cross over next roundabout and 1 km after 2nd roundabout in Costa Volpino there is a very large car park on left in front of lake (on right is a petrol station). Park here. Walk in same direction to central square Lovere. Beside Lake is Boarding point / walkway…give voucher on boat.

Boario Spa Complex

Brand new complex with pool, emotional showers, sauna, turkish, outside relax pool, salt room, whirpool etc No children under 12 allowed Children aged 12 to 15 allowed only with parents 3 hour session Open All year: MUST BE BOOKED ATLEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE and is subject to availability.... please mail us with requested date and time. Sunday: 10.00 to 22.00 All other days: 12.30 to 22.00

Walking Directions from Accomodation to Complex (2 mins).
Turn right and walk under underpass. on exit turn right and pass infront of entrance to park. The next building along from entrance is for the spa..Go to reception and show voucher.

Boario Adventurepark...Treetop rope park

Swing, climb, walk, glide through the trees in this brand new Mountain forest rope park. Safety equipment supplied. Minimum height requirement 1.10 mts The voucher also includes one ride on the park coaster (beside the Adventure park) If the park is full, they may advise a time later in the same day. June 01 to September 20: Every day 10.00 am to 18.00

Walking Directions from Accomodatin to park (2 min)
Turn right and walk under underpass. The park is in front of you. Descend stairs and show pass at entrance, they will giv you another voucher. Walk to back right hand side of park to find the treetop rope park. REMEMBER this voucher also includes one free trip on park coaster in same area.

Finally to get from Orio airport to the Residence (50 mins almost straight road)
Exit airport right. Follow road around direction Bergamo. At round about FOLLOW DIRECTION LOVERE and take ramp up to main road. Always keep following directions LOVERE, after about 30mins you will pass a medium size lake on the right hand side (lago Endine). A few Kilometres after the end of the lake you will enter a tunnel and then descend for less than 1 km and enter another short tunnel. After short tunnel do NOT exit Lovere but keep going straight into next tunnel and then up the valley and take exit Boario (the one after Darfo). Go down to T-Junction and turn left. In centre of village go straight on through lights and 50mts after lights turn FIRST left (sharp turn). After 50mts the road curves hard to right and Residence Antica Fonte is on corner with entrance to garage on left of Residence entrance. Ring bell or enter reception. Hotel Armonia is just after Residence...PARK after Armonia (T junction turn left) on main road. Reception will explain were their private free parking can be found.

Without Car ?
Take airport shuttle to Bergamo station. Take bus to Boario (around 12 Euro return, 1 hour 30 mins, buses leave every half hour but less frequent on Sunday, last bus 19.30). Alternatively private transfer can be booked in advance.
Bergamo Bus station is just opposite train station, glass building on right of McDonalds.

To get from Boario Station (200mts). Exit and turn left...go down to curve in road. At curve turn right....Armonia 50mts on right....Antica Fonte 100mts on right.

If you do not buy return tickets in Bergamo...return bus ticket is purchased in Bar at Boario station ...not on bus.

When you get on Bus...you need to "punch" the ticket in the machine.
Alternatively private transfer can be booked in advance: Total cost is around 80 Euro each way. Click here to book transfer (please quote booking number. Flight times/dates and number of people). We recommend car hire for freedom of movement.

OR we have Vespa rental in Boario, the Iconic Italian scooter.
Normal Driving license required, scooter for 2 pax, 35 Euro per day including 3rd party insurance.
