4) So much to do from Windsurf to Ferry boating on Lake Iseo, canoeing, sailing, multi pool complexes, Skiing, Heliski, treetop rope park, horse riding, Golf, Canyoning, Go karts and much more.

5) It includes four of Italy's most beautiful villages (that's official...all recently voted in top twenty, Lovere at the top of the lake Iseo, Iseo town at the bottom, Monte Isola in the middle of lake Iseo and Bienno in Val Camonica.

6) Location...Bergamo is on main train line to Milan and Verona, Venice. Lake Iseo is just 20 mins from Bergamo, the Val Camonica is at the top of the lake, Montecampione is above Val Camonica.

7) History and culture. From Bergamo's famous museums to the pyramids of Gorzone, from the UNESCO world heritage rock carvings of the valley to the many hill top ancient monasteries and castles.

8) Dramatic, sweeping up between the Alps.

9) Unique, Lake Iseo hosts the largest Inland Island in Europe, Monte Isola.

10) Weather, Excellent skiing in Winter, warm and sunny in summer.

Oh yes...and the foods good too...

As one poet once wrote about the Camonica Valley and Lake Iseo

On her ancient lands where soldiers trod,
Across her lakes, her rivers and streams,
Through mountain pass and forest high,
Her mystic beauty reigns.
Imprisoned by her Alpine walls,
Yet free her waters flow,
From glacial heights to deepest lake,
This enchanted land of old.
