NOTE WELL: use ONLY ONE PASS per day.....
WARNING The Resort has magnetic ski pass readers (no nead to "punch" pass in machine).
No picture is required BUT make sure you have only ONE valid DAY pass with you (leave any others in your room) and that you throw it away at end of day so as not to confuse with unused passes. (If you have a 6 day pass this will still work)
If you have more than one pass in your pocket the machine will activate ALL of them and then the next day NONE will work.

SKI hire This is claimed using voucher sent to you before arrival. Go to Toini Ski Hire at 1200mts or in main building of 1800mts.
Toini Ski Hire at 1200mts is now at the top of slope on left as you enter resort from bus area. SEE DIAGRAM BELOW
There is, as already written in package, a local supplment to upgrade to snowboard.
You can leave ski's and poles on mountain overnight for a small local charge but we suggest you keep ski boots with you.
NOTE: Due to a few previous incidents, You must leave a photocopy of your credit card with ski hire shop as a guarantee.
When not on your ski's, make sure you know where they are at all times..lost ski's will be charged.

SKI Clothing
For quality and low price, UK and Ireland, we recommend
T.K.Maxx. Find nearest store Tip: • Layer your clothes – bring various warm clothes it is easy to get too warm on the slopes so warm up by adding them and cool down by reducing them. Eg Vest, top, jumper, jacket.
• Sun glasses, Sun cream and lip balm – The sun very strong on the mountains it reflects of the snow.
• Essential accessories – Warm hat, Gloves, scarf,
• Ski Jacket or warm jacket, salopettes (ski trousers) and thick socks (or layered thinner socks !) are really good they keep you warm and comfortable.
These cannot be rented at any ski resort, due to hygiene reasons, check out your local TK Maxx, Decathlon and Matalan for reasonably priced ski clothes The Big MUSTS are SKI trousers and gloves, the rest can be improvised.

DIRECTIONS. Car (recommended), or Bus By Car From Orio airport to the Residence / Hotel (50 mins almost straight road)
Exit airport right. Follow road around direction Bergamo. At round about FOLLOW DIRECTION LOVERE and take ramp up to main road. *Always keep following directions LOVERE, after about 30mins you will pass a medium size lake on the right hand side (lago Endine). A few Kilometres after the end of the lake you will enter a tunnel and then descend for less than 1 km and enter another short tunnel. After short tunnel do NOT exit Lovere but keep going straight into next tunnel and then up the valley and take exit Boario (the one after Darfo). Go down to T-Junction and turn left. Rizzi is on left 500mts down road (see map). In centre of village go straight on through lights and 50mts after lights turn FIRST left (sharp turn). After 50mts the road curves hard to right and Residence Antica Fonte is on corner with entrance to garage on left of Residence entrance. Ring bell or enter reception. Hotel Armonia and Hotel Milano are just after Residence...PARK after Armonia (T junction turn left) on main road. Reception will explain were their private free parking can be found.
For Excelsior Palace...at lights in Boario turn RIGHT. Hotel is on left 200mts up road.
From Malpensa airport to Boario
Exit airport follow signs Milano. After pay toll follow green signs VENEZIA. Take A4 motorway VENEZIA. Exit SERIATE (one after Bergamo). Take Immediately slip road down right. Follow above directions from *

Exit airport straight on. Take exit marked green sign A4 Milano Venezia...Follow directions to VENEZIA. Exit SERIATE (one after Bergamo). Take Immediately slip road down right. Follow above directions from *
Without Car (arrival Bergamo) ?
Take airport shuttle to Bergamo station. Take bus to Boario station (around 12 Euro return, 1 hour 30 mins, buses leave every one to two hours but less frequent on Sunday, last bus 19.20). Alternatively private transfer can be booked in advance: see form above
Bergamo Bus station is just opposite train station, glass building on right of McDonalds.
To get from Boario Station to Accomodation (200mts). Exit and turn left towards church then go down to sharp bend in road. At bend, TURN RIGHT....Armonia 50mts on right....Antica Fonte 100mts on right, Excelsior go past Antica Fonte, under road and up otherside for 150 mts. For those in Rizzi..see Boario Map...Hotel Milano beside Armonia.

If you do not buy return tickets in Bergamo...return bus ticket is purchased in Bar at Boario station ...not on bus.
When you get on Bus...you need to "punch" the ticket in the machine.

Driving from Boario to Montecampione
Go back on main road towards Bergamo. Before tunnels take exit Pian Camuno / Montecampione. At lights go straight accross (actually right and immediately left). Climb mountain. Go past lake STRAIGHT ON (do not follow road to left) to end of road and park in underground parking. To go to 1800mts...take slip road down just after small lake on right and BEFORE underground parking and follow road up.
